Before the course, participants will complete questionnaires to identify their prior knowledge and training needs for the subject. Organizers will send proper material for reading, guidance about IT, apps etc. and will provide any necessary information about travel and accommodation. Participants must bring with them their own tablets.
Tablets and smartphones are a huge trend among students. Recently, schools have started increasing the use of these devices for many purposes. First of all students are very familiar with them and this keep them engaged. Second, it is much cheaper and eco-friendly not to use books, notebooks, pens etc. in a very heavy bag but, if it is possible, in one device. Social issues encourage us to use, also, electronic communication and on line content delivery. However, many teachers come unsure of how to practice these new approaches because of their lack of training. At this course we will make an approach to know some elements of the “digitalization” of our school and our classrooms, such as the educational apps, the “flipped classroom” teaching model, Learning Management Systems for teaching and school administration and technical and safety issues as well.

For this goal to be achieved there will be practical guidance regarding the usage of common apps and suites. There will be also training for the creation and implementation of “flipped” lessons, gamification teaching techniques and the development of Learning Management Systems.
